“What attracted me to the Interserve Graduate programme were the opportunities I was presented with by Group IT. From rotating around different areas within Group IT to developing industry knowledge as a professional only honed my skills further, allowing me to gain experience.”

KRUNAL PATTNI, IT GRADUATE

Do you want to join an ever-expanding international business?

Are you looking to reach the highest levels?

Do you want to play a key role in helping to define, drive and manage the technology that underpins business success?

Then the Interserve IT Graduate Scheme is the perfect choice for you.

Our scheme is designed to turn talented, ambitious graduates into the future technical innovators and leaders of Interserve. Graduates follow a 3-year scheme immersing them in our IT organisation as it goes through its continual transformation.

The scheme involves a series of placements in relevant specialist functions of our IT organisation to support a longer term aspirational move into an IT specialism. In support of this you have the opportunity to influence your placements towards your preferences of technical specialism.

Throughout this scheme we will continue to support your further learning and development through on the job training, courses and continual coaching and mentoring.

The role is based at our West Bromwich offices, with a move to our brand new purpose built offices by Birmingham Airport from 2018. The successful candidate must show the flexibility to be willing to travel, on occasion, to any of our locations throughout the UK and abroad as part of your exposure to the business.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with a 2:2 degree or above (or be expected to achieve this level) in Computer Science, Business & IT or other IT or Business related subjects.

You will love all aspects of technology and be able to demonstrate this passion in how you communicate.

You will need to be able to demonstrate strong team, communication and relationship building skills as well as being highly adaptable.

We’re looking for the ability to absorb large volumes of information and then present it in a user-friendly and pragmatic way, whilst working to tight deadlines.

A desire to deliver the best level of service for your clients and an inquisitive nature to truly understand your clients’ drivers and needs

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to innovate and offer solutions.

Computer literacy and competency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel are essential.

WHAT WE OFFER

A competitive salary, with the scope to grow with you.

A 3 year fixed term contract in a full time role, starting in September 2017.

Continued development throughout the scheme, and successful demonstration of your ability and potential, will allow the successful candidate to secure a permanent role at the end of the scheme.

OUR SELECTION PROCESS

To ensure that we get individuals we feel will fit with Interserve’s Values and to give you an opportunity to get to know us better we have a structured selection process.

You will be asked to detail your preferences of technical specialism with your application to enable us to consider applicants against the available placements.

Application Questions – you will be asked to complete a number of competency based questions as part of your application

Psychometric Testing – for those successful at application, you will be invited to complete online test that measure your verbal and numerical critical reasoning. These are timed tests and candidates should ensure they prepare appropriately and use the free practice tests in advance.

Assessment Centre – We hold assessment centres as the next stage of the process. These typically last several hours and involve activities such as group exercises, individual tasks and interviews.

Final interview – As a final assessment for candidates successful at all of the previous stages we hold a final competency based interview.

Itv Technology Graduate Programme http://www.itvjobs.com/index.php?cID=411

Want to kickstart your career in Tech at the UK’s biggest commercial broadcaster? Then look no further.

Welcome to the ITV Technology Graduate Programme for 2018-19

As an integrated producer broadcaster, ITV creates, owns and distributes high-quality content on multiple platforms globally. We operate the largest commercial family of channels in the UK, and deliver our content through linear television as well as on demand. ITV Technology is the key that unlocks our creativity, allowing us to make, distribute and monetise the best programmes in the UK and across the world.

This graduate scheme is an exciting 2 year opportunity, with placements in leading technology disciplines across diverse teams. You’ll get the best training possible, on the job learning, supported individual projects and exposure across all areas of technology to ensure that you have a rounded foundation for a career in media technology.

We enjoy what we do – innovating with technology, working with different teams, solving problems and constantly improving. If you have a passion for technology, media and learning, then look no further!

The role

Over 24 months, you will work closely with ITV technology departments including our award-winning ITV Hub video on demand service, our broadcast and studios areas, and key functions that all companies need from cloud hosting to finance, networks and cyber security. Whilst this is a London based role, you will have the opportunity to work with teams in different parts of the UK including technology colleagues in Manchester and Leeds.

All of our Technology Graduates have a similar structure in the first year; time working within each of the business areas, structured training in a development language (Scala, Java or front-end), and an extended placement with one of our software engineering teams. After that, we work with each individual to put together a combination of placements, projects and learning that helps them to focus their development into a career specialism, and enables them to work towards a long term career at ITV.

Expect to gain key skills in everything from software development, product and project management, video engineering, data science, cyber security, devops and cloud – all within a creative media environment.

Video is exploding in all industries from marketing, social media and content production, to medical training in remote locations – and this makes ITV well placed to support you on your journey in this growing domain. There is no better place to get this experience than in London working with a vibrant industry of tech companies, media networks and agencies. So what are you waiting for?

Who can apply?

We are looking for dynamic and driven people with an appetite for learning to join our technology team. We want people who are passionate about what we do, and have a clear ability to solve complex problems. You should have or be working towards a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths subject, or equivalent experience to prove your suitability.

You are a UK/EEA resident

You have or are on track for a 2:2 degree in a related subject

How to apply?

The application process is generally open from November until January, and you can apply at here. We run assessment centres in March, followed by face to face interviews in our offices in London. The role starts in September each year.
